Any desire to see Morrigan animated?

I was meaning to comment on this way back when I heard about it. A Dragon Age Origins anime…what? Let me say this first; I really enjoyed playing the game. I was in the middle of a crisis late last year. I had already filled up two garbage bags with vomit from playing Tekken 6, and I also needed something to take my mind off of WoW. There came Dragon Age Origins, to rescue me from my impending holiday of grinding. This is not a review of the game by any measure, but for its flaws, namely the uninspired combat system, linear dungeons, and glitchy game play, I still had a great time with the game!

I do not believe its canon is strong enough to be made into an anime movie. I saw plenty of borrowed ideas in the lore of the DAO universe, and if Bioware is dying for an additional medium to make money off of, isn't Mass Effect undoubtedly a better choice? Regardless, there are a few games that come to mind that would intrigue me if they were animated, but a large part of me would never want to see any of them come into fruition.

It’s a humorous trend if Western made video games start getting the animation treatment consistently. Halo Legends did respectable sales wise, but the collective verdict with even the most die hard Halo fans was, “thanks, when’s that Reach beta again?” With FUNimation at the helm of the DAO anime, I’m also a little scared that ZF’s favorite voice actor, the illustrious Vic Mignogna, will smear his genitals all over it.

I guess we will have to wait and see. At least it’s not coming out until 2011.
